Usually if we are having problems with our Microsoft windows xp system of anything device, we may using the system restore through :Start-Programs-Accessories-System tools-Sytem restore, and there we have changes option to choose the time to return system to be well be like before .
If with the system restore that doesn't work to your problems then try and test this solution as another way to troubleshooting the win xp system:
This action need the win xp intallation CD :
1- After you start win xp then insert the installation CD to the CDROM drive
2- Now Go to WINNT32 /unattend ,where the drive of location of your unattend source files , for example :if The Drive of your CDROM is on "E" , then the location of your unattend source files is E:\I386\winnt32 /unattend .then open the Run command (click Start-Run) then type E:\I386\winnt32 /unattend -- enter , ans your pc will be restart
3. If with the command E:\I386\winnt32 /unattend ,doesn't work , then test with this command : e:\winnt32 /unattend.
Note: don't forget "E" is your CDROM drive or the driver letter where your windows XP CD , your CDROM drive may on another drive ,example D or F or G .
