small cool pc tips

1:Password Protect Connections
You can password protect connections to computers. Right-click on a computer whose connection you wish to protect, selecting "Properties." Click the "Protect Item" tab on the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears. Enter in your desired password in the "Password" and "Confirm password" fields, and check "Required to view properties," "Required to execute," and "Required to modify properties" as desired.
2:Remember Passwords
Tired of entering passwords every time you connect to a remote machine? You can save these passwords in PCAnywhere. Right-click on a connection, choosing "Properties" from the pop-up menu that appears. Select "Settings" on the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears. Under "Login information," check the "Automatically login to host upon connection" box. Now, type in your username next to "Login name" and your password next to "Password" and "Confirm password." Note that if you use this tip, it is recommended to password protect this item using a technique found elsewhere on MalekTips.
3:Log Connection Activity
Would you like to log your activity between your machine and a particular remote host? If so, click on a connection from the main window, choosing "Properties." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, select the "Automated Tasks" tab. Check "Save session statistics in log file." You can process the logs from the "Utilities -> Activity Log Processing" menu from the main window.
4:utomatically Transfer Files
Would you like to automatically transfer files to a remote machine upon connection? If so, right-click on the desired connection from the main window and choose "Properties." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, select the "Automated Tasks" tab. Check "Run upon connection," and make sure the radio button next to "AutoXFer(TM)" is selected. Click the "Properties" button to define what files you would like transferred when this connection is opened.
5:Virus Check Transferred Files
If you use AutoXFer(TM) and would like the files you transfer to be checked for viruses (and deleted if a virus is found), right-click on the connection you wish to modify and select "Properties." On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, select the "Automated Tasks" tab. Click the "Properties" button. Select the "Options" tab. Select "Override file transfer options for this Automated Transfer" and check "Virus check all downloaded files."
