President SBY Supports Sail Komodo 2013

President SBY gives his support to Sail Komodo 2013 to Boost Tourism in East Nusa Tenggara, President Yudhoyono in his four-day visit to East Nusa Tenggara Province, recently, said that he supported the proposal of East Nusa Tenggara province to host the Sail Komodo 2013, as noted by the Governor of East Nusa Tenggara, Frans Lebu Raya.

President of Indonesia warned, this event should be well planned and carefully, and be more successful than Sail Banda last year, as reported by Antara.

Komodo Sail intended to further increase the world awareness of the existence of the Komodo dragon and to attract tourism to the komodo island and other islands in East Nusa Tenggara. In addition to the giant Komodo lizard, the Komodo National Park also includes a sea that is rich in various species of fish, giant sea turtles, sea cow, and whales that are attracted divers from around the world such as Russia, Germany and France.

Flores Island itself is the gateway to Komodo Island, has many tourist areas, ranging from three color lake Kelimutu, tradition of whale catch in Lembata, pink beach among the many quiet beaches, and the megalithic culture.
