How to reset BIOS password without opening the computer case (Clear CMOS)

clear cmos bios password stepsFor those of you who like to tinkering with BIOS settings , and once you've forgotten the bios password. or just want to Clear the CMOS memory (ClearCMOS) for a purpose. So here's a tip to (clearing) reset bios password without opening the computer case.. The method is to reset the bios without touching the hardware.

Steps:

1 - Go to command prompt [start -> run -> type cmd]

2 - type debug -> enter
3 - Type o 70 2e -> enter
4 - Type o 71 ff -> enter
5 - Type q -> enter


Briefly
debug
o 70 2e
o 71 FF
q


Notice, it is all lowercase, spaces also include

After that restart your computer, it will remove the BIOS password, don't be surprised if the date and time back to the year of hardware manufactured . Clearing the CMOS will restore the default settings in all BIOS menus, but not restore the original BIOS code (will not revert back to the original bios version).
