For notebook Users, without a CD or DVD ROM drive , may have difficulty installing the Windows 7 OS. Now Microsoft provide a software named Windows7-USB-DVD-tool.exe to help you move the DVD Windows 7 OS to a USB disk .

Download Windows7 USB DVD tool.exe

The Windows7 USB DVD tool.exe allows you to create a copy of your Windows 7 ISO file on a USB flash drive or a DVD. To create a bootable DVD or USB flash drive, download the ISO file and then run the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool. Once this is done, you can install Windows 7 directly from the USB flash drive or DVD.

The ISO file contains all the Windows 7 installation files combined into a single uncompressed file. When you download the ISO file, you need to copy it to some medium in order to install Windows 7. This tool allows you to create a copy of the ISO file to a USB flash drive or a DVD. To install Windows 7 from your USB flash drive or DVD, all you need to do is insert the USB flash drive into your USB port or insert your DVD into your DVD drive and run Setup.exe from the root folder on the drive.

Host Process for Win32 Services Error , easy way to fix it

"Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience", or "Your PC has recovered from a serious problem", or "Host Process for Win32 Services Error" are your windows saying it...
When the message like that emerges, usually the computer can't connect to the internet, and although being tried to disconneted, and will continue not connect again, except if already restarted.

Oke, easy way to fix it is direct to this tips using tweak registry:

Make to close Port 445, caused the trojan uses rpc.exe to search for available systems by connecting to port 445/tcp. If the trojan detects an available host, it executes rpctest.exe, which exploits the RPC DCOM vulnerability.

  1. Open windows registry Editor (click start-run - type "regedit")
  2. On the Registry Editor Windows, Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NetBT\Parameters, then look at the right-side window , double-click at "TransportBindName" , and then delete the default value within the box(made it a blank value)

Also Close Port 135, coz the worm scans random IP addresses and tries to connect to TCP port 5000 to find more Windows XP systems. Then the worm opens Port 135 of the remote computer to check the interface of RPC DCOM.

  1. Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\OLE
  2. On the right-window , look at "EnableDCOM" , then double-click, then Set the value to: N (defaults is "Y")
  3. Ok, Close your window Registry Editor, and Restart your PC .

Generic Host Process for Win32 ServicesAnother way is Download Microsoft Update Patch , it's recommended by microsoft about "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Error" problems

Semoga bermanfa'at

Windows XP has finally reached its final hours

windows tutorialsAfter delays, delays, and rumors of more delays, the era of Windows XP has finally reached its final hours. Microsoft has made it official: Monday, June 30 will be the last day Microsoft sells XP to the masses. In fact, some companies have already stopped offering XP as an option on new machines as they prep for the switchover.
Earlier rumors that Microsoft might extend the sales date have proven untrue, as Microsoft has reiterated that, indeed, June 30 will be the final sales date cut-off for the product. That's it. It's a Vista world now.
Loopholes will remain for some PC makers for some months to come, namely those who are building ultra-low-cost computers that aren't powerful enough for Vista. (Though some machines in this class, like HP's Mini-Note, actually come with Vista anyway.) For at least the rest of the year, downgrades remain an option for many PC purchasers too, though you'll have to jump through some hoops, and possibly pay extra, in order to get XP.

As I've written several times XP fans needn't panic about the loss of XP. Even if you don't have a copy on hand, the product will be available through many channels for years to come (and likely forever), through both retail outlets and the aftermarket. As I type this, nearly 1,000 copies of XP are on sale on eBay, where they usually sell for less than $100.

In other news, Microsoft has recently pledged to keep supporting XP, including the release of security updates, all the way through 2014. So XP users needn't fret that you'll suddenly be victimized by hackers due to unpatched security flaws. Updates should work exactly as you're used to them currently through the Windows Update system.

Relax Tips

Removing MSN from XP
Microsoft does not want you to remove MSN like all other software. Basically, they are imposing MSN on you. I hate this kinda attitidue that huge software firms have, same with AOL. Anyway, I found an alternative way to remove it.

Go to START > RUN
Type or cut and paste this:RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%infmsmsgs.inf,BLC.RemovePS this is one command line although it may appear on here as two because of paragraph wrap

Moving my documents to a new partition
If the partition that windows is installed in gets too big you can move your documents folder to an alertnative drive

Make a new folder in the drive you want to move the documents
From the start menu, right click 'my documents'. Click 'move' in the 'Target' tab and type in the new location. Click ok. That's it!!

Restart Windows without restarting your computer

Small tip again, When you click on the SHUTDOWN button, make sure to simultaneous press SHIFT Button. If you hold the Shift key down while clicking on SHUTDOWN button, you computer would restart without restarting the Computer. This is equivalent to term"HOT REBOOT".

Make AutoReboot whenever Windows XP experiences BSOD

BSOD is Blue Screen of Death!.
Since Windows XP is touted as most reliable Windows XP ever, you do not need this trick!. Well I am somewhat kidding. There is nothing in this world that is foolproof. I have faced this twice so far. To make windows reboot instead of producing the cryptic dump, open registry by going to START-RUN and entering regedit. Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl] . In this look for value of "AutoReboot". Setting its value to 1 will activate Autoreboot. By default this is the value on my system but just in case if you have a 0,set it to 1.

How to have more options in the Add/Remove program list ?,xp tip

All programs that are available on your Windows XP system are not available for removal. For example wordpad. I mean you don't want to remove wordpad from Add/Remove program list, but that serves just as an example,So why are some programs in the list and some not?....Oke, let's go try it..If you have installed Windows in C: drive,Go to C:\WINDOWS\inf and open the sysoc.inf file.

File contents looks like this: See the components that have word HIDE as second last item on the row. This hide tells system to not to display those items/apps in the Add/Remove program list. If you want to have this item in list, simply replace it with blank. I think you understand what am I saying..

Simple Secure your computer....xp tip

With Enable Advanced File System Security Options,
This will further secure your windows explorer and not really a performance tweak. Open registry by going to START-RUN and entering regedit. Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa] . In this look for value of "forceguest". If available, its default value would be 1. Set its value to 1. This would enables Windows XP logic for advanced permissions.

How to Change Drive Letters in Windows XP

When you add drives to your computer, such as an extra hard drive, a CD drive, or a storage device that corresponds to a drive, Windows automatically assigns letters to the drives. However, this assignment might not suit your system; for example, you might have mapped a network drive to the same letter that Windows assigns to a new drive. When you want to change drive letters, follow these steps:

Right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.

Under Computer Management, click Disk Management. In the right pane, you’ll see your drives listed. CD-ROM drives are listed at the bottom of the pane.

Right-click the drive or device you want to change, and then click Change Drive Letter and Paths.

Click Change, click Assign the following drive letter, click the drive letter you want to assign, and then click OK.

Change the Default Opening Folder in Windows Explorer, xp tip

By default, Windows Explorer opens showing the My Documents folder. To change the default setting so that all top–level drives and folders are shown, follow these steps:

Click Start > Programs > Accessories, then right–click Windows Explorer, and click Properties.

Under Target field, which reads %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe, add to make the line read:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n, /e, /select, C:\
Click OK.
